Landmark Community Resource List
Universal Code started developing Landmark Community Resource List as a passion project to create a resource directory website that had both community members and organizations in mind. There are a lot of resource directories out there, but our goal is to have a robust, dynamic information hub that meets a range of needs.
Search Results and Querying
We have created a website architecture that makes it easy to find exactly what you’re looking for. Categories and tags help users navigate the services available. The most important details are there in the search results, and there will be options to sort and filter.
Saving and Notetaking
LCR List allows users to bookmark and save the options they find into different lists, and add notes to the website to keep track of communications and details. This makes it easy to organize resources based on relevance and other criteria. Case Managers can create lists for different purposes, having all the important information centralized in one location.
Communication
One day we will create ways that community members and organizations can communicate via a messaging system, and create and save appointment details within the website. A calendar will be created so individuals can add their own appointments and events, and organizations can promote routine or special events. Special announcements can be highlighted on the organization page.
For Organizations
LCR List places a high priority on the needs of the community, but we want to make organizations excited about using the tools on this platform. We hope there will be opportunities for organizations to foster collaboration and communication amongst eachother and in the community. Organization details are easy to add and comprehensive to make it quick and easy for community members to find the information that matters within seconds.
Find What You Need
When creating a profile, organizations will detail the services they provide using tags, but they will also describe resources they need from the community, whether that is in-kind donations like household items or clothing, but volunteers as well. When community members are interested in sharing their time and resources, it will be easy for them to find results that fit their criteria.
