Joseph Kachuroi
Universal Code was enlisted to help AScottfree Productions with an entrepreneur’s resume website. Originally hosted on Wix, they were struggling to get the website within the top 10 results for the names Joe and Joseph Kachuroi.
Transitioning from Wix
The decision was made to transfer the website from Wix to WordPress. The website owner expressed interest in growing their website and introducing complex functionality. Ultimately, the limitations of the closed Content Management System would quickly become too restricting.
Search Engine Optimization
To have more control over SEO, a transition to WordPress made the most sense. Then we were able to use on-page SEO tactics to strategically add keywords, submit a sitemap, and improved the speed and performance to encourage better search results. Within two weeks the webpage went from the sixth page to the top 5 in the search results.
Opportunities for Growth
Now, if the website owner decides to pursue webinars, events, or email subscriptions, the infrastructure is in place to provide options and resources. The development potential in the WordPress ecosphere allows for greater creative control and pixel-perfect design.
Collaboration
The goal was to stay as close to the original design as possible while taking advantage of opportunities to improve or adapt the design. It was much easier to create a post-type for the projects and display them dynamically in the experience section, and having one-page templates to highlight each project was a huge benefit to the SEO strategy
I used Universal Code to help strengthen my website design by adding much needed SEO work and hosting. They were quick to respond, helpful and greatly improved our search rankings. I would recommend Universal Code to anyone and will continue to use their services in the future.
