About the Owner

Universal Code was created in 2020 by Abby Peterson when a new interest in web development prompted the idea to start building websites that make an impact. Having earned a Bachelor in Social Work in 2014, Abby used the skills and values instilled from her education and experience to develop the Mission and Code for Universal Code.

Our mission is to help others accomplish their mission, and we believe we can do this by creating awareness, building community and developing resources online. Because our agency is small and experienced in community based services, website owners can be assured their goals and values are shared, and your web developer can be trusted with sensitive topics and data.

Our Code

Our Code was influenced by the Social Work Code of Ethics, taking the concepts of dignity and cultural humility and applying those concepts with every website project.
